Monaco will need to pay £71million if they want Jose Mourinho because he's the best - Roman Abramovich...

Roman Abramovich has told Monaco they’ll need to pay £71million if they want Jose Mourinho, according to reports.

The Russian owner reportedly held talks in London with a minority shareholder for the Ligue 1 outfit and turned down a £35.5million approach from Italian businessman Alessandro Proto.

“We offered €50 million to have the coach immediately, but the request was €100m and that figure seems exaggerated,” Proto Enterprises said in a statement to EFE.

According to the press release, Abramovich rejected the offer because he considered the 52-year-old to be “the best coach in the world.”

Gianfranco Zola admits it’s his dream to one day become manager of the Blues.

The Italian spent seven years at Stamford Bridge and became a fan favourite for his technical ability and silky skills that lit up west London.

The 49-year-old has managed in England before with West Ham and Watford but now coaches Al-Arabi, one of Qatar’s most successful clubs.

But Zola admits he would one day love to return to Chelsea as manager.

“My dream, let us say my ambition, is to be Chelsea manager some day in the future,” he said.

And in transfer news, Marko Marin reportedly wants to make his loan spell with Trabzonspor permanent.

Marin joined the Turkish outfit on a season-long loan this summer and having made an impressive start, the German now wants to stay in Turkey, according to Turkish publication AMK.

“I came here to become a champion and I want to be part of the big plans we have here,” he said.

“We are not where we want to be in the league, but we will turn things around.”

The 26-year-old is on his fourth loan spell since joining the Blues from Wolfsburg in 2012.
