"I'm being punished for my stupid vanity." (Warning: Graphic Photos)

Brazilian model and TV host Andressa Urach underwent thigh injection surgery and momentarily died as her body went into septic shock.

Now, she's got holes in her thighs and butt as the chemicals began to rot her tissue [via Daily Mail]. And just a word of warning, these pictures get pretty graphic.

Urach, who was once a runner-up in her home country's Miss BumBum contest, says she didn't think twice about getting the elective surgery.

She'd undergone almost a dozen surgeries previously, including facial correction, breast augmentation, vaginal lip reduction, and another thigh injection. Incredibly, Urach was even considering having a rib removed to make her skinnier, and a toe removed to slim down her feet. "Can you believe that?" she asks. "That's how out of control it had got."

Urach's body had a negative reaction to the chemicals injected in her. When her body went into shock, she was rushed to the emergency room and briefly died.

"I'll never forget it. Coming face to face with death, I realized that nothing else mattered. Everything I had battled for, my beauty, my bags, my clothes, my car — I'd left all that behind. It was the moment I realized I was nothing, that we are only here on this earth to save our souls," she says.

An emergency procedure was able to drain her legs of the chemicals, leaving her with holes that will eventually become scars.

Now, Urach wants to speak out against the excessive cosmetic surgeries she was obsessed with.

"I'm able to tell other women that vanity isn't everything," she says. "If all this serves as an example to warn others of the dangers of these things, to save other women from a premature death, then that was the reason I had to go through it."
