Rocky Dawuni makes history for Ghana; 58th Grammy Awards 2016 nominees list...

Ghanaian reggae and Soul Afro pop superstar, Rocky Dawuni has made history as the first Ghanaian to have been nominated in the most respected and prestigious music awards scheme in the world, The Grammys.

This is the 58th Annual Grammy Awards and Rocky Dawuni who’s known for the hit song “In Ghana” got nominated in the “Reggae Album Of The Year” category with his great album titled “Branch of the same tree” released under the Cumbancha Record Label.

He faces stiff completion from the likes of Morgan Heritage (album: Strictly Roots); Luciano-(album: Zion Awake); Jah Cure: (album-The Cure), and Barrington Levy (album: Accousticalevy) in the same category for the same honour.

All the respective winners will be announced in a ceremony on February 15th, 2016 and it will be beamed live across the world on American cable network, CBS from L.A’s Staples Center.
