Bishop Daniel Obinim finally set free by an Accra High Court...

The founder and general overseer of International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim today got himself acquitted and discharged by an Accra High Court for allegedly assaulting a radio panellist, Kwame Ntim Okatakyie of the programme 'Nya Asem Hwe' and vandalising the property of Hot FM, an Accra based radio station, in 2011.

According to the presiding judge, Justice Abdulai Iddrisu, the evidence provided by the prosecution against Obinim wasn't credible as the witnesses brought before the court were not credible enough.

Bishop Obinim had told the court in his evidence that he compensated the panellists of Hot FM, who were at the studio when he and his boys stormed there in 2011.

It should be noted that the boys or the two associate pastors of Obinim, Kinsley Baah and Kofi Kwetey, who accompanied him on the said date of assault were discharged earlier in March this year by the same High Court presided over by Justice Abdulai Iddrisu in a ruling on a submission of no case filed by counsel for the suspects, Samuel Atta Akyea, after the state had closed its case.
