Chinese Doctor Li Wenliang who first warned China about the coronavirus dies sparking grief & anger in China

Beijing, China — Chinese medical doctor, Li Wenliang who was one of the first 8 persons to have warned China about the novel coronavirus spreading, has died due to the infection of the virus, BieGyaNation.Com has learnt.

The death of Doctor Li Wenliang has already sparked grief and anger never witnessed before in China among its citizens.

Many believe if the authorities had paid attention to him, stringent measures could have been put in place to save the situation long before the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

The 34-year-old doctor Li Wenliang, an ophthalmologist at Wuhan Central Hospital, became a national hero and symbol of the Chinese government’s systemic failings last month.

He had warned his medical school classmates in a private WeChat on December 30th about the existence of a contagious new virus that resembled the deadly ‘severe acute respiratory syndrome’ (SARS), spreading in Wuhan, the epicentre of the epidemic.

He first came in contact with the virus, after treating a glaucoma patient who at the time was not aware that he had already been infected with the deadly virus.

Doctor Li was detained January 1st by Wuhan police for “rumor-mongering” after warning about the disease in December, 2019.

The Chinese national hero sadly died on Thursday, 6th February, 2020 due to the coronavirus infection.

China has So far confirmed 636 deaths due to the coronavirus, with 31,161 others infected.
